This poster dates back to 1980 something. Seems another benefit is called for as the skatepark has been uncovered in what local Milwaukee news calls an archeological dig.
Wiskate has some great photos of the recovery effort and a Facefuk Group has been started for recovery support.
We wreaked much havoc there… so many broken bones, hippers, ruptured organs… Be great to see a revival!
Go Skateboarding Day! Every year on June 21, skateboarders around the globe celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity, and spirit of one of the most infuential activities in the world by blowing off all other obligations to go skateboarding.
No not Quiet Riot! We are feeling the Gravediggaz here:
“Boom, bang! here I am, the bezerk!”
No really, I did bang my head at Ride The Drive Sunday! I was too thrilled to be rolling down East Washington Avenue on my skateboard, surrounded by smiles, eight lanes of traffic, no concern for the red on the stoplight, and “The zombies ate all the cars.” (Thanks to Catherine Capellaro via Matthew Sanborn for the that quote!)
BOOM, bang! is right! Weirdest thing, I didn’t feel the impact spot until today (Wednesday.) This might explain:
Inability to discriminate between sensory stimuli.
Inability to locate and recognize parts of the body (Neglect).
Severe Injury: Inability to recognize self.
Disorientation of environment space.
Inability to write.
For those with traumatic brain injuries to the right parietal lobe, the ability to multi-task is reduced or eliminated, as is mathematical ability and recognition of the difference between right and left.
Please note that says “right and left,” and not rightand WRONG!
